A delightful pair of bookends, made in France during the Art Deco Period. Sitting on three-quarter inch thick solid marble bases in a marbled taupe colour, the two little deer are stealing grapes from the climbing vine . Reaching up to the furthest extent they are trying to get to the biggest, sweetest bunch over their heads. Beautifully cast in a lovely lustre-bronzed spelter, the design is simply idyllic, with lush grass tufts at the deers' feet and the twisting vines rising before them.

Dimensions: Overall height is 4.75 inches or 12cm. Width is 4.15" or 10.5cm by 3 inches or 8cm deep. The weight for the pair, without any packaging is just over 1 kilogram.
