Spanish Leather Shooting, Hunting, Fishing Bag / Game Bag / Heavy Duty Suede Leather Bag and Strap - Some Canvas Lining Vintage Bag - FF108

A fabulous bag, made Mid-Century but as they say - "Bang on Trend". This suede leather bag was made in Spain in the mid 1970's as a Fishing or Game bag and has some really handy features. It closes with a heavy canvas trimmed leather flap which lifts to reveal a string pouch. The pouch is almost the full width of the bag and it is stitched to the bag on one side and the opening side is bound with a leather strap. The pouch itself is made from strong knotted string - a macramé bag. Behind the macramé bag is a wide canvas pocket; behind this is the inside of the heavy suede bag proper. the pockets of the bag can he held together at the openings by a suede strap which comed from the back of the bag and can pass through sueded holding flaps, then attached to a small buckle sitting above the string pouch. Made from thick brown suede leather, the bag a stitched all around and the back is joined to the front flap with a reinforced stitched leather strip.

The heavy duty suede strap is sewn to the sides of the bag and has an adjustable strap with a metal buckle The Strap has a suede adjusting band. The strap is folded back on itself at the buckle and riveted in place.

The bag has been well used and has not been mistreated. There are no holes in the macramé; the suede shows signs of handling and wear. The bag is in completely original 'as found' condition, in overall clean condition, but a clean and some love and attention from the new owner will make it look a million dollars. A great unisex size, big enough to fit all daily items plus a tablet or e-reader - this bag really was way ahead of its time when it was made. 

Measurements: outside 15.5" across by 9" high and expanding depth to around 3.5" plus the canvas pocket and string bag. (39 x 23 x 9 + cm).
