RARE Full Set One Dozen Antique Vintage French Boxed Set of 12 Silver Tea Spoons Rococo Style Flatware by SFAM of Chambly - Flatware - K2

A gorgeous presentation boxed set of twelve French silver plated tea spoons with stylish Rococo style handles by Orféverie (Gold and Silversmiths) de Chambly, SFAM Chambly. The company was founded in 1860 and these spoons date from the end of that century. It's hard to find a complete set of fine antique spoons so we were very happy to be able to buy these, in their original box. These French spoons  are double hallmarked with the '18gr' marking them as very high/heavy quality silver plate with a 'metal blanc' mark and also the makers mark embossed into the rear of the handle design. A beautiful ornate style of decoration, typical of the era, along the shaft of the handles.  Each spoon is around 5.5” or 140mm long.

The jewellery suppliers mark is on the inside of the box lid - R Boisson of Chinon. The Royal Blue leather-effect box is in very good condition with only a little wear on the top; the inside lid is padded with satin and the spoons rest in recesses on a bed of grey velvet finished with a grey silk cord. A fantastic way to impress your guests or a beautiful gift for a very special occasion.
