A beautiful executed original Spanish copy of an Oil painting unusually printed on tin. It depicts the crucifixion of Christ. This a very early piece from the late 19th century with its printed image and pressed out frame that copies the plaster frames of the period. The frame has been wood grained but now shows its age and loss of the image. The actual image of Christ on the Cross is very Spanish even Goya esc in style with the an upright and top beam rather than the more norma cross. Sadly their is no signature to give a name for the Artist. This is a very early colour print in tin from the late 1800's or very early 1900's.

This item would be ideal for anyone trying to create that authentic provincial look. It is in beautiful aged condition as can be seen on the photo's and would be a great addition to any collection or an impressive statment piece; perfect for a shrine, the painting is an accomplished work of art that can be appreciated with or without any religious connection.

The dimensions of the frame are 17.25" / 440mm high by 14" / 355mm; you can see on the reverse this original wooden frame is a quick nock together but has held the test of many years of hanging in a chapel .
