1950s Brooch  - Vintage Rose Gold Costume Jewellery - Vintage Rose Gold Brooch West Highland Terrier, or Scots Terrier - J2/28

Pretty little Scottie Dog or Scots Terrier brooch in pressed Rose Gold from the Nineteen Fifties. The item is not hallmarked but has cleaned up as Rose Gold which is a mixture of Copper and Gold. Very popular in the Nineteen Fifties and Sixties, dogs, cats and other animals were produced in jewellery form and are every bit as sought-after today as they were then.

The brooch is two inched high and one and a half inches wide; being of pressed Rose Gold it is not very heavy. The mid century clasp has no safety catch which was the norm at that time; both the pin of the clasp appear to be made of copper or brass. The brooch is supplied in a black velvet material drawstring gift. bag.
