Vintage Terre d Hauteniboul rise and fall light - French 1960s kitchen ceramic rise and fall light in aqua marine coloured glaze - LT103
This is a very nice example of a Terre d Hauteniboul of Paris rise and fall light in light aqua marine glaze. This has wonderfully aged glaze that has crackled with the changes in temperature over the years, this and the way the thickness of the glaze changes almost makes it look as though it is still dripping down the shade.
Although Terre d Hauteniboul had a shop in Paris the main pottery workshop was in southern France. They not only produced sought after lighting but also kitchen items such as casseroles that have become true sought after designer items. Sadly they now no longer exist making their vintage items very desirable.
The shade has a diameter of 13" or 330mm and a hight of 4.5" or 115mm without its gallery. The weighted bell still has all its original weighting and the wheels move freely. It has been pat tested and we have included its of beaded cloth covered cable to suit most needs. it has a total weight of 3.2kg so a little over 7lb. There has been a small repair to the ceiling rose at some time, however the shade and bell are in perfect condition.
Your purchase will be very carefully packaged with recycled materials where possible and despatched via the Irish An Post postal service.
