Antique Bethlehem Full Mother of Pearl Rosary - Holy Land Crucifix Rosary - French 59 Bead Rosary - RR109

A beautifully crafted traditional Rosary from Bethlehem - made in the late 1800's - this has surely got to be one of the most plain yet prettiest antique rosaries we have seen. On the back of the cross the remains of the word Bethlehem are still apparent. The pater and ave beads are in a cylindrical form that is highly unusual compared to the normal spherical or square types.

The Crucifix, Centre Medal, Pater and Ave Beads are all hand fabricated from Mother of Pearl and only the chain and small Corpus are silver metal. The Cross measures 1" or 25mm high, the centre medal is 0.5" or 14mm, pendant is 5.5" or 144mm and the corona is 31" or 760mm long and it weighs 25grms. The Patre beads are 0.33" or 10mm and the Ave are 0.25" or 6mm long.
This is a very beautiful item in perfect antique condition. It would make a wonderful gift for a baptism, Christening or a treasure to mark a First Communion, etc. The rosary will be sent in a small black 'velvet' style drawstring gift bag before packing.
