French Carved Wooden Thorn Cross Wall Crucifix - Bronze Corpus Signed by Sculptor Mouley of Paris  - RC123

A superbly crafted "Thorn Cross" - a Wall Crucifix made by a true Craftsman, with the appearance of 'thorns' coming from the sides of the mahogany wooden backing cross. The wood of the cross has in face been shaped and polished so that the 'thorn' points protrude - they really are quite prickly. Laid over this backing cross is the crucifix that bears the Corpus Christi - this is made from a slightly lighter colour of high quality wood and has chamfered edges. The centre of each cross is perfectly mitred. 

The Corpus Christi, the Body of Christ, is made from solid Cast bronze and is marked as signed by the French Sculptor, 'MOULEY of PARIS'. A beautifully made item, crafted to perfection.

The Outer Crucifix measures 15.75" or 40cm high by 8.5" or 21.5cm wide. The depth including the Body of Christ is about 2" or 5cm. 
Without any packaging, this wall crucifix weighs 0.6kg.
