Beautifully executed in the Impressionist style, this original piece of French artwork is from the 1950's/60's and features a beautiful young woman in a blue dress and a sun-hat gazing wistfully into the middle distance, as if she is waiting for a friend to join her. Painted in oil on board, the picture is framed by a deep, original frame; an inner mount of white and grey is followed by a deep panel of unbleached linen stretched on wood, then the frame is finished in an antique gold paint. Both the picture and frame are in very good, original condition and the artist has signed his work " M. Foubert".

This would make a superb focal point, standing at 14" or 36cm high and 16" or 41cm wide and 2.5" or 6.5cm deep. It has the original hanging metal loop in the back of the frame.
