Two Rolls of Vintage French Wall Paper / Decorative Wallpaper Edging / Decorative Accent / Decorative Boarder Paper - D143

We have acquired from the stores of a French Chateau two rolls of unused, antique wallpaper trim or edging, decorated with a superb 'toile de jour' design; the background is very light blue with romantic scenes depicted on it.  Each roll is 7" / 180mm high,  and together weigh 1.3kg / 3lb before packaging for transport. 

The paper is a high quality, heavy linen-finish and the colour palette is duck egg blue with sky blue highlights, pale brown sketch work and some white detail. The romantic subjects are two young couples: one couple walking with the lady carrying a basket of flowers and the other couple are talking in a garden setting, she with a watering can. The pattern repeat is just 7" or 18cm, so very easy to work with. The two rolls have been very carefully stored for many years in the château  basement and the first few inches show light grubbiness from being handled - but such is the quality of the paper, this would probably sponge off. The rolls are both in remarkably good condition and for an authentic finish to a renovated room with a French or Parisienne theme, these would be absolutely perfect.  We have not fully unrolled the paper, not wishing to damage it in any way, but the roll diameter is much the same size as that of general wallpaper - so we would estimate the length the large roll to be APPROXIMATELY 15 metres / 50 feet in length and the smaller at least 10 meters / 32 feet.
